Amazing of Guilin

Guilin (Chinese: 桂林; pinyin: Guìlín; Zhuang: Gveilinz) is a prefecture-level city in the northeast of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of far southern China, sitting on the west bank of the Li River. Its name means "forest of Sweet Osmanthus", owing to the large number of fragrant Sweet Osmanthus trees located in the city. The city has long been renowned for its unique scenery.

The highlight is the Li River Cruise. We will drive about 1 hour to the Zhujiang Pier for boarding the Li River Cruise boat and taking about 4 hours' cruise to Yangshuo. The picturesque Li River has been descriptions as "a grand silk ribbon with hills like jade hairpins' and is ideal for exploration on a boat. The meandering 65km cruise last 5 hours and takes you past bamboo groves, sleepy villages, endless peaks, and fisherman on rickety bamboo rafts fishing with cormorant birds. In the late day, drive back to Guilin. (For the optional, you may stay in Yangshuo tonight and enjoy the amazing night life there.

You can visit the Reed Flute Cave, which is a garish but nonetheless impressive grotto housing multicolored lighting and fantastic stalactites and stalagmites. Then visit the Elephant Trunk Hill, which is the symbolic of Guilin and looks like an elephant, dipping its snout into the Li River, hence its name.
