Ko Chang travel guide

รูปภาพ
White Sands Beach on Ko Chang Ko Chang is Thailand's second largest island, and the biggest in Eastern Thailand. With about 5,000 permanent residents the island is not heavily populated, but tourism (and development) has increased dramatically over the last few years. Ko Chang is one of Thailand's most beautiful islands with long white sandy beaches, most half deserted. The island is also home to a wide range of wildlife, including a good selection of birds, snakes, deer, and a number of elephants. The island and its vicinity are great places for snorkeling, diving and jungle hiking. The "discovery" of the island as a tourist destination since 2000 has brought on a large amount of rapid development, and while still far quieter than places like Phuket or Ko Samui, it's probably better to go now than later. Regarding services and activities specifically aimed at tourists prices have reached such a level that the islanders are pricing themselve...

Ko Samui

รูปภาพ
Ko Samui, once known as an affordable destination and a backpacker's paradise, is the second largest island in Thailand.  It sits on the opposite side of the mainland from its bigger brother, Phuket.  For so long the backpacker's domain, this island has been rapidly moving upmarket over the past decade and most of the development appears to be in the upper sectors of the market. You can reach Ko Samui on Bangkok Airways and a return flight will cost you the best part of 8,000 baht for a flight that is a little under an hour.  There are several flights between Bangkok and Samui every day.  You can reach the island overland by travelling by Bangkok to Surat Thani by road and then taking a boat across.  This could take many, many hours and unless money is tight, I would fly.  Khao San Road travel agents offer deals from Khao San Road to Samui direct.  I am not sure what the latest prices are, but I should imagine it would be...

Phuket

รูปภาพ
It was the beautiful island of Phuket that first lured me to the Kingdom Of Thailand.  A friend had visited Thailand the previous Christmas and raved about how great it was, especially Phuket.  We had been friends for a long time and he knew the sort of things I liked and said that Phuket would be the ideal holiday destination for me.  At that time in my life, I used to love just sitting around in the sun all day doing little to nothing.  When I finally made it to the paradise island, I fell in love with Phuket which holds a special place in my heart.  In fact when I first moved to Thailand my plan was to go to Phuket and secure a job teaching English down there but for whatever reason, it never happened and I ended up in Bangkok.   Phuket is one of the world's premier beach holiday destinations and ranks alongside the French Riviera, the Mediterranean and Hawaii as places where people will happily endure up to 24 hours dis...

From Phu Chi Fa, you will experience the spectacular mountain scenery setting between Thai-Laos border. You will expect to see the views over Mekong River and deep into Laos. A small village of Chiang Tong District and the far away mountain in Laos can be seen from there. A perfect spot for taking photos is the area of 50 meters before going to the top. From that point, you can see the sunrise coming out from the top of the mountain while the sea fog slowly fading away. With the incredibly beautiful scenery, the cool weather and beautiful local flowers make it the place you should visit once. The place is extremely popular in the winter (November-February). Patpong in Bangkok

รูปภาพ
Patpong Bangkok Patpong is a main nightlife attraction in Bangkok for tourists. The area is the street that connects Silom Road and Surawong Road. Along the street are shops, go-go bars and clubs. Patpong is famous for sex shows and a tourist-centric night market. A busy night market aimed at tourists is also located in Patpong. The street stalls alongside the road offer just about everything you want – a good place to pick up gifts for people back home. How to get there: The nearest BTS Station is Saladaeng and the nearest MRT station is Silom. From both Saladaeng and Silom you need to walk down Silom Road away from Lumpini Park. When you see a McDonald’s on your left, Patpong is on your right. thanks,www.discoverythailand.com/

Bangkok in Central Thailand

รูปภาพ
For many, Bangkok, Thailand is the ultimate travel destination. A heady blend of modernity and tradition, Bangkok has something to offer everyone. Modern Bangkok is a large, bustling city of some 6 million people. The capital of Thailand, it is the administrative centre and the heart of the country. It is a city where skyscrapers and modern buildings jostle for space against the Bangkok skyline. It is also very much a city of entertainment and fun. Above all, Bangkok is a city of extremes. Despite its modern trappings, Bangkok is firmly embedded in tradition. All aspects of Thai culture are revered here, as they are in any rural or less urban part of the country. Rituals are carried ou...
