Our experience of staying in one
of the HouseTrip apartments was very positive - far preferable to
staying in an overpriced hotel room. With two young children, we were
looking for something friendly and roomy enough for all four of us. The
apartment we found delivered just this and had a lot of character too.
It made us feel as if we were living in Paris rather than just passing
through, we added to the whole experience. We were dealt with
efficiently and in a very friendly manner too.

Well I'm sorry you feel that way Imre, and without knowing the
details of your case there is very little I can say except that in the
rare situation of a Host cancelling on a Guest, HouseTrip would inform
the Guest immediately upon learning of this fact and our dedicated
relocations team will do everything possible to find them a suitable
alternative for their stay, or provide a full refund if they prefer.All the best, and again I am truly sorry that you had a tough experience with a Host.

I have just noticed Imre that you posted this same message to
our Facebook wall, so I do in fact know the details of your case so I
will repeat here my comment there:Hello Imre, thank you for your message.
First of all I would like to offer my sincere regrets that you were cancelled on by your chosen Host. This must have been incredibly stressful, given the fact that you booked and paid in advance.
While we always strive to find our Guests a suitable alternative when this rare occurrence happens, and offer Guests a discount on their stay because we do not want to profit from this, unfortunately we can't always find an alternative that suits their individual and varied needs. For example with your booking we had no more single rooms available in central Amsterdam. This has nothing to do with us changing our minds. Nothing would make us happier than being able to find somewhere perfect for you, that matches your price and your expectations.
I know it's not what you were hoping for, but apart from your full refund we have also penalised the property listing's search results position on our website. This often has financial implications for the property Host, and serves as one method of discouragement so that Hosts using HouseTrip are dissuaded from cancelling on Guests.
I personally truly hope that you'll use the voucher we have sent you for money off a future booking, and apologise for any stress you have suffered.

“A big mistak in Istanbul ”
Beware
don't let the pictures misleading and fool you it written in the
discreption luxury flat but it's faraway from luxury it's less than 2
star , what you see in pictures not what you see in realty dirty carpets
and the flat in old dirty building , this is not all booking withe
house trip even bigger mistake the seames don't care when arrived to the
flat my frined refuse to stay in this flat we called house trip and
asked them to cancel our reservation and return or payment we paid €
2508 after you deducted one night the asked to send pictures after that
they will inspect , so we did send pictures and they promis to call me
back but nobody called yet .this is first time I deal withe house trip
and the last I will no't leave this matter and when I return home I will
take a legal action against them

One word it's a big mistake booking through house trip beware
misleading web page. They simply care only how they get their commission
from your booking . It's the first and a last time booking with them
and I Will not let them fool my friend like they did to me. We you contact them about misleading of the host regarding his property they argues that the booking and the contract between you and the host and there no direct relation withe them ,so don't let them fool you one they said we will investigate this issue .

Hello Ali,I've been in touch with my colleague, Manuel, who dealt with your case. An investigation was launched by our team, and as Manuel has told you this investigation took into account all of the evidence provided to us, including the photos sent by yourself. As your complaint was sent in time, we had not released payment to the Host and did not do so until the conclusion of our investigation.
Despite the evidence, our investigation was found to rule in favour of the Host, and your payment was released to them accordingly. If you wish to discuss any of the specifics of your case, I am personally your disposal and you can reach me on amatthews@housetrip.com.
